Cholangiocarcinoma is Bile Duct Cancer, Our Community is our Survival Culture

Our Community Is Our Survival Culture

Caregiver, Family, and Friends:
The backbone of our patient response

This page is a new addition to our Cholangiocarcinoma Community Culture.

We have Patient Stories. Now we want to recognise the people beside the patient: caregivers, family members, and friends.

Your experience matters because patients do not face cholangiocarcinoma, also known as bile duct cancer, alone. The people around them help them keep going, ask questions, make decisions, and carry the weight when the load is too heavy.

You can become the first caregiver, family member, or friend to share your story.

To begin, please send your story or talk to Claire:

A Personal Note From Steve

As difficult as this may feel, I personally found my way forward by lightening the load and unclogging the avalanche of thoughts I was trying to hold together in my head.

Writing them down freed up my thinking. It helped me write myself out of a bad story and into a better one.

It not only unburdened me, it uplifted me.

That was not why I did it, and it was not what I expected.
